The pages in this book depict one of the most unique and yet most unknown events in our recent history: The Cursillos in Christianity Movement. Francisco Forteza’s book avoids the “apologetic tone” and the “cold historicism.” It can be categorized as testimonial literature. It openly reveals the human condition, not exempt from errors, intrigues, and manipulations that have occurred in the Cursillo Movement, while claiming at the same time the validity of what, in the author’s language, is understood as “The Foundational Charism.” The Cursillos in Christianity Movement was born in 1944 on the Island of Mallorca, Spain.

“The De Colores song was popular in Spain. De Colores was one of many songs used to liven the environment during Cursillos. It was judged essential that the songs should not be devotional and could be easily learned and sung. De Colores succeeded because its lyrics are reminiscent of the Grace that “sheds new light on old ideas,” which is the core message of Cursillos.”
